Raíz, the first collection by Crypta, was developed through several years alongside the designer’s process after emigrating to a yet unknown Barcelona: pieces were conceived in the pursuit of a personal creative language where emotion, sensitivity and material experimentation became the foundations of the practice.
The collection explores identities that slowly unfold into more authentic versions of themselves, of rigid forms that soften with time, and of bodies marked by change.
Raíz is about the wear and tear of exhausted bodies, feeling uprooted from what was once familiar, and the process to deeply and strongly take roots.
